If you are planning a visit to Toowoon Bay beach, between October and April, you will find our qualified and experienced lifesavers on patrol. They will do their utmost to ensure your safety whilst at the beach.

Patrol dates and hours are set down by Surf Life Saving Central Coast, however the tradional patrolling season is from the October Long weekend through to the April Anzac Day weekend. Patrols are rostered to cover every weekend and public holiday within that period.

Be aware that there may be times when you may be injured whilst on patrol, competing or travelling to and from carnivals or patrols, or your property has been damaged during these activities.  All financial members are covered by Workcover Insurance. It is important that all claim forms be filled out as soon as possible. Please speak with your Patrol Captain if you require assistance. These are the required forms

DATES FOR PROFICIENCIES for 10/11 Season are not yet set 

To be proven competent and operationally fit for lifesaving duties in the relevant award, proficiency test are carried out annually. All active lifesavers are required to complete a proficiency test to prove competency in the lifesaving award/s they hold in which they wish to remain current.

These tests ensure :
The ongoing competency of lifesaving personnel in their area of training and activities.
The standards of knowledge and expertise of lifesaving personnel is maintained.
That legal and statutory requirements are satisfied.
That our service and commitment to the community is maintained at a high standard.

NOTE - When a proficiency check is successfully completed (or a member gains a relevant award after 30 June, in a particular year) the proficiency or qualification is current until 31 December, in the following season.
